inspired by an illustration from an artist who was working for chanel in 1921.  taken from chanel and her world: friends, fashion, and fame by edmonde charles-roux.  whenever i’m starved for ideas i look at the classics and just imitate them.  hemingway was said to have copied out passages, word for word, from his favourite authors whenever he couldn’t write.  it makes a lot of sense – to train yourself with the best.
